NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS/ARTIST INFORMATION
EVERY THURSDAY OF THE MONTH - DOWNTOWN ART WALK.

I had heard about it for some time now but finally decided to go.  I suggest doing it on bike versus on foot.  If you do it on foot, may I further suggest good walking shoes and a bottle of water.  Also, bring a friend.  Much to talk about in between galleries as the streets are longer than most city blocks.

I do think it's a must.  The more downtown becomes a hub, the more interesting everything is getting.  More to see, more to do.  Definitely a change from when I first moved to California.  No one came down here, much less came here to "hang out."  You worked here and tried to get out before traffic, that's it.  LA shut down at 5:30.  Since that has all changed and mostly in the last few years, I strongly suggest that if you're looking for something "artsy" to do that this be on your list.  You'll feel as though you've expanded your reaches of "culture," and have something else to talk about.
